The Opportunity:

Title: Director, Facilities
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Reports to: VP, Head of Real Estate, Facilities & Travel


  • Management of all building staff, including 3rd party vendors (janitorial, food service, landscape services, & parking valet)
  • Collaborate with all other departments & serve as Facilities Department's primary liaison.
  • Managing, coaching, & mentoring staff; creating a positive environment fostering growth & high level of productivity & ensures performance is aligned with organization standards.
  • Direct & oversee the day-to-day schedules & activity of facilities staff to assure timely, cost effective, & correct completion of work.
  • Develop & Manage department budget within financial planning guidelines, including budget oversight & review of project proposals
  • Responsible for all capital & maintenance reserve expenditures, including detailed records of those expenditures.
  • Negotiate third party contracts with vendors in accordance with policy.
  • Manage space planning for New York corporate headquarters, working with IAC business units to understand future growth & attrition, & oversight of restack projects
  • Establish & implement departmental & staff goals that support the institutional mission & priorities for each IAC business.
  • Analyze, prioritize, plan, schedule & manage tenant construction projects.
  • Tracking budget-versus-actual performance throughout construction project execution to enable course-corrections
  • Respond to & report emergency situations during work hours & off-hours.
  • Ensure re-certifications & compliance with all city & state building codes, OSHA, & other outside agencies.
  • Manage annual EAP & Fire Drills
  • Work closely with Corporate Events department in the management of all in-house & third-party events; including the scheduling, set-up & building support requirements for these events
  • Collaborate with Security on corporate disaster recovery & business continuity planning & execution as it relates to NYC operations
  • Manage special projects as necessary for executive & senior leadership

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) and/or Master's degree a plus
  • At least 10 years' experience in facilities operations, property management or similar field, with a demonstrated ability to drive operational effectiveness & improvement
  • At least 5 years of people management experience
  • Highly proficient with a range of information technology, tools & platforms including Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership presence with proven track record of delivering results
  • Industry designations preferred
