YOUR ROLE:
The Director, Experience Strategy functions as an active member of the experience planning team. You are expected to become an expert first on your clients brand, business & competitors, then deeply & enduringly on your clients customers & prospective customers. You are familiar & adept at insights mining, leveraging all available research sources & methodologies.
Youve applied insights to architect customer journeys that illuminate opportunities for engagement, understanding what moments in the journey we must win, what information customers are looking for, the channels used & who influence their decision.
You will architect communications strategies across paid/owned/earned media that delivers on these insights, generating & nurturing leads effectively across the decision process.
Your work inspires the Creative team to develop breakthrough ideas & you collaborate closely with Marketing Sciences to define the learning agenda & optimization plan to improve engagement overtime.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead strategy on several lines of businesses for our client, becoming an expert on their consumers as well as their overall business, brand, categories & value propositions.
Lead a group of experience strategists to inspire & inform our creative teams using research, competitive analysis, strong narratives, & category expertise.
Collaborates with junior strategists in defining communication plans, touch points, content, timing/frequency/cadence of CRM efforts.
Partner with leadership from client services, technology, analytics & creative teams to help diagnose business problems & draft briefing materials for strategic & creative deliverables.
Help monitor competitor strategies & marketing activity.
Serve as collaborative member of a client team, including participation in brainstorms, work sessions, creative development reviews, reporting, etc.
Become intimately familiar with all research tools, including innovative methods such as applied listening, digital ethnography & use those tools to provide the concrete evidence to form actionable insights.
Provide overall support to the development of the strategy practice.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelors Degree in related field, advanced degrees / MBAs welcomed or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in marketing, digital, CRM, media, advertising, or management consulting.
Experience writing, editing or collaborating on internal marketing documents & creative materials.
Proficiency in research tools & working with partners like Nielsen, Mintel, Forrester, & others.
Narrative creation, & the translating of complex challenges into easy to understand objectives.
Ability to work autonomously when required & a track record of delivering quality work on time & above expectations.

This range is specific to NYC & multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience & training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
