In a nutshell. As Head of Impact Operations, you will be the Chief Impact Officer's right hand. That's not a word she uses lightly. Building out one of the first Impact Teams inside a unicorn is an exciting, but also demanding mission. We need focus & discipline, where people expect fluffiness. Sincerity, where people expect impact-washing. And a movement that cuts across every team, where people expect another department.Creating that inside a rocketship of a company (Read: 1,600 people & triple-digit growth) requires solid foundations, serious coordination & a pinch of cross-functional pixie dust. That's where the Head of Impact Operations comes in.
ABOUT THE ROLE
How you will make an impact:
Operating system. Ensure our team has the operational foundations it needs to launch & grow effectively. You will create visibility, scalability & predictabilitythrough anticipative planning sessions, dashboards, roadmaps, budgets & all the other things I probably have not even thought about. But that you certainly will. The bottom line: Help the team as a whole do our best work.Ex. Design & update OKR dashboards to track progress, handling internal knowledge management, planning Quarterly Impact Reviews & managing the budget process.
Special projects. You will support or drive the success of high priority projects, often with many moving parts. As the most senior program manager on the team, many tiers-one projects will naturally be put in your care. Ex. Project manage our first ever annual Contentsquare Impact Report, provide decision-making support by outlining possible scenarios that detail pro/cons or trade-offs for each, etc.
Methodology expert & coach. We're counting on you to level up the skill set of our program managers, manage their performance & coach them through difficult situations.As they each have their own respective pillars (DEI, Digital Accessibility, Sustainability & Digital Trust), you will bridge gaps & allow them to learn from one another.Ex. Create toolkits & standards for program management, oversee project excellence across all pillars, help PMOs with career development, etc. Who you'll be reporting to. Our Chief Impact Officer, who is awkwardly referring to herself in the third person as she writes this job description & cannot wait until Contentsquare's first-ever Impact team comes together.
Speaks. GTD - Yes, you are completely fluent in Getting Things Done. You can wield any project management methodology, strategy framework or productivity tool to make even the most hydra-esque of programs look simple.
Loves. Facilitation! A day-to-day part of this role requires managing conversations, synthesizing multiple points of view, & aligning on direction. To succeed, you'll need both the temperament & tools to land a wide variety of conversations at various levels/departments/geos/you-name-it.
Hates. Unnecessary mess. Because you will be parachuted in to help bring order to things as we scale, you will need to be a methodical organizer.
Work style. Unflappable. Crazy things happen. You should be able to pause & laugh at them for a brief second before quickly taking action.
Background. We are diploma-agnostic for this position. Your track record will speak for itself. We're looking for at least 10+ years of experience project managing a variety of cross-functional stakeholders to deliver exceptional solutions, & at least 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment. Bonus points for experience as a consultant, chief of staff or program/product manager.
LOCATIONBy applying to this role, you will be given the option to work from London, Amsterdam or Paris (Contentsquare's merry HQ.) We are however open to hiring someone based elsewhere in Europe semi-remotely, provided it costs less than 4.5 kg CO2 per passenger journey to get to Paris.
