Why it matters:  Were looking for an experienced People Ops professional who is passionate about supporting & embedding within one of our business lines to manage all aspects of the employee experience: integration, development, performance, support, retention & transition. 

Go deeper: In this role, you will make an impact to Axios through the following responsibilities:

  • Foster & build relationships with functional leaders across the organization
  • Partner with the onboarding team to integrate employees into the organization & lead 30-60-90 day check-ins
  • Assist in all employee programming including new hire orientation, all staff retreats, Employee Resource Group events, & trainings
  • Monitor & track engagement through surveys & conduct the necessary follow up to improve the employee experience & engagement 
  • Provide guidance to all employees regarding employee issues in areas such as policies, procedures, & interpersonal dynamics 
  • Conduct exit interviews for departing employees & collect data to better understand themes 

The details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit & passion for Axios mission & have the following skills:

  • Proven leader in the HR/People Ops field with experience working in fast-paced environments
  • Experience working with HR/People Ops in start up environments 
  • Knowledge of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion best practices
  • Proven experience collaborating & partnering with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Ability to project manage & juggle multiple priorities at once  
  • Creative thinker & entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to have sensitive conversations & advise colleagues on HR related issues 
  • Facilitation & presentation skills 
  • Compliance & HR generalist experience is preferred but not require
