THE ROLE: Temporary Staff Attorney

What were looking for

The Rue Gilt Groupe legal team is seeking a Temporary Staff Attorney to serve as a Contract Attorney/Specialist for 5+ months starting in August 2022 through January 2023. In this role, you will work closely with Rue Gilt Groupes in-house legal team on a wide variety of legal matters. The Contract Attorney/Specialist will be an integral part of the team, contributing to all aspects of the legal needs of the business.

Candidates should be able to work independently, be innovative, pay meticulous attention to detail, & be able to work confidently with guidance from the legal team.

What Youll Accomplish

• Lead the drafting, negotiating & completion of a wide variety of contracts & documents for RGG, such as master services agreements, SaaS agreements, consulting & services agreements, joint promotion agreements, drop ship agreements, vendor agreements, credit agreements, NDAs, influencer agreements, charitable co-venturer agreements & marketing agreements
• Provide advice & legal counsel about various matters to RGGs internal business clients
• Obtain & maintain a working knowledge of applicable laws, rules & regulations affecting RGGs business
• Draft & respond to cease & desist letters in connection with intellectual property matters

• 4+ Years of relevant experience
• Resume & cover letter required
• Experience with commercial contracts & business law, online technology & general intellectual property matters
• Strong negotiating & drafting skills, organizational & analytical skills, a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, excellent communication skills, detail oriented, & an ability to work quickly & independently in a fast-paced corporate environment while producing high-quality work product
• Strong business acumen, good common sense & sound judgment
• Ability to learn quickly & grasp legal issues in unfamiliar and/or newly arising areas of the law

Location: USA based, preference Boston based candidates, but we also have offices in New York, Irvine California with hybrid or remote flexibility in other locations.
