Job Description

What we expect of you, day to day.
You will be an authority in analytics in designing, developing & implementing best in class BI/reporting & analytic solutions
Creating & delivering powerful business-centric insights from data through better visualization & storyboarding
You will be collaborating with the internal & external partners to fully understand business requirements & desired business outcomes
Executing proficiency in handing multiple medium to large analytic projects along with rest of the partners in the Analytics team
You will be defining detailed analytic scope & methodology, & creating analytic plan
Executing on the analytic plan with appropriate data mining & analytic techniques
You will be performing quality assurance on data & deliverables by analysts & own deliverables
Ensuring all project documentation is up to date & all projects are reviewed per analytic plan
Ensuring project delivery within timelines & budget requirements
You will be building on the team's analytical skills & business knowledge
Enhancing existing analytic techniques by promoting new methodology & best practices in analytics field
Providing subject matter expertise & quality assurance of complex data driven analytic projects


What we're after
Mid-level analytics expertise in applying statistical solutions to business problems
Experience working in one or more of the card payments markets in Europe
Graduate/Post Graduate degree or equivalent(Masters, Ph.D., or equivalent) in Quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, or engineering or equivalent experience
Good understanding of Payments & Banking Industry including Consumer Credit, Consumer debit, Prepaid, Small Business, Commercial, Co-Brand & Merchant
Good understanding of data, market intelligence, business intelligence &
Experience building & cultivating teams
Experience planning, organizing, & leading multiple large projects with diverse cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to incorporate new techniques to solve business problems
Demonstrated resource planning & delivery skills
Expert level knowledge of advanced data mining & statistical modeling: Predictive modeling techniques (e.g., binomial & multinomial regression, ANOVA); Classification techniques (e.g., Clustering, Principal Component Analysis, factor analysis, SVM); Decision Tree techniques (e.g., CART, CHAID)
Deep SAS experience; proficiency & continuous skills development in leading edge analytic & business intelligence tools, e.g. SAS, R, SPSS, Tableau, Business Objects & MicroStrategy. Hands on Hadoop framework including key tools like Python & Hive experience is an advantage
Hands on experience on processing extremely large data sets. Knowledge of payment network transactional data is a plus
Ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies
Define & design analytic approaches to business problems
Ensure the usage of the correct analytic measures & metrics to solve the business problem
Define & execute quantitative & financial analysis for key clients
Very strong project management skills & experience
Excellent understanding of data marts, data relationship concepts & data processing
Fluency in one or more additional European languages; Italian, Spanish, German preferred
Results oriented with strong analytical, consultative & problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual & analytical rigor
Good business insight with strong ability to solve business problems through data driven quantitative methodologies. Experience in payment, retail banking, or retail merchant industries is preferred
Very detailed oriented, is expected to ensure the highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis
Tried skills in translating analytics output to actionable recommendations, & delivery
