The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for initiating & driving an integrated marketing strategy with a focus on developing new acquisition channels, refining current channels & ensuring strong customer retention. This role will also be responsible for analyzing & improving our performance across different platforms that drive customer acquisition, engagement, education, retention & loyalty. This position will lead the brand strategy & take complete ownership of top-line results. Specific responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall marketing strategy for Jackpocket
  • Implement a scalable demand generation function (including choosing & implementing the necessary platforms, nurturing, scoring, etc.)
  • Define & execute targeted & measurable online/offline lead generation & nurturing programs that drive awareness & build healthy pipeline to the top of the funnel
  • Continuously set & hit aggressive quarterly acquisition & conversion goals
  • Decide on a framework to align & prioritize all marketing efforts
  • Work closely with product management & engineering to distill key functionality & benefits into core product marketing messages; identify, prioritize & launch product modifications / additions to improve customer satisfaction, revenue & retention
  • Plan the launch of new features, products, & other releases & manage the crossfunctional implementation of the plan across the organization
  • Manage company resources, freelancers, & agencies as necessary
  • Become an expert on our customers, their goals & activities; undertake primary research in the market; become an expert on our competition & how we differentiate in meaningful ways; collect, analyze & distribute customer & competitive intelligence
  • Develop ideas for generating unpaid acquisition programs (i.e. tell a friend, content marketing, community programs, etc.)
  • Develop loyalty marketing programs to increase lifetime value of customer

Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of marketing experience primarily within a consumer industry
  • 3-5+ years management experience, hiring, organizing, motivating & managing a team
  • Demonstrated track record of excellence in both product & solutions marketing, & in crafting compelling positioning & thought leadership content
  • Proven creative thinker that can generate & execute on breakout marketing ideas
  • Proven track record of demonstrated achievement meeting & exceeding aggressive goals
  • Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment, & the organizational skills needed to execute & manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Command of B2C marketing disciplines from acquisition/demand generation to conversion & retention marketing
  • Consumer brand experience a plus
  • Creativity & ability to craft a story around a brand or product
  • A passion for building businesses & for growing global brands
  • BA/BS degree in marketing or a related business area
