EVENT DETAILS

Hi everyone! This is the launch for a program we've been working on for a while. 4 events, 1 set of panelists, 1 location. The events will be 2 weeks apart, and while each event is a separate unit, going to all 4 will give you a complete overview. Our panelists are all wonderfully accomplished, and they'll be sharing their experience, stories, and unique perspectives.

Event 1: The Basics. We'll go through the principles UX relies on, what it looks like in practice, and what you should keep in mind.
Event 2: Research & Discovery. How can we get information to inform product/design decisions? What do people commonly do to f#$% up their results, and how can they learn to avoid that?
Event 3: Prototyping and User Testing. These are well-known and deceptively simple UX techniques, but they're so often done incorrectly. How can we do them the RIGHT way?
Event 4: Iteration. Designing a product isn't over when it ships. How can we build consistent, scalable processes to gather data and improve the product?

Our panelists:

Jay Meany
Director of Product Design, Digital Strategy & Initiatives at Cond Nast
Tim Jaeger
Interaction Designer at Google
Michelle Chu
Product and Design Manager at Alpha
Michael Redding
Freelance UX/Creative Director
