Looking for a job to get you out of bed?

Casper is seeking a motivated Textile Design Intern to join the Product & Engineering team this summer. This intern will have the opportunity to learn about & work on color palettes, top tick fabrics, & production processes. You will also work on product design from the concept stage to executing final styles in production. Additionally you will gain an understanding of the specific materials used from a products fiber stage to finish, as well as learn about textile & materials testing standards. The ideal candidate is a proactive contributor & highly organized. This is a hybrid role, working an average of up to 3 days per week based at our spacious Industry City office.

Casper Summer Internship program runs June 6 - August 12, 2022.

When youre not catching zzzs, this is what youll do: 

  • Attend weekly product meetings (in person) 
  • Help to create presentations 
  • Maintain sample organization for products
  • Contribute to sketching and/or draw flats in illustrator
  • Help organize fabric library (physical & online)
  • Assist with packaging design department (as necessary)

Our dream candidate is

  • Working toward an undergraduate degree (must have completed at least four semesters) in Textile Design
  • Knowledge of fibers, different textile techniques, & processes (Knits a plus!)
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Microsoft Excel (InDesign a plus!)
  • Team player with a passion for Design & Development
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of 3D programs such as CLO3D and/or Keyshot will not be required but will be welcomed!
  • Proactive approach to work, you like to solve problems & dont wait for someone to give you the answer
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent verbal, written, & telephonic communication skills
  • Extremely organized & detail oriented 
  • Must be able to commit to at least 3 full days/week
