Description

The Inventory Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the site / shift, ensuring the highest level of quality of service is provided by our associates, while supporting the policies, goals & objectives & following company safety standards.
This position will be based out of our Brooklyn facility, near the G train.
Essential Functions: 
Leadership
* Support coaching conversations in support of the inventory Superviros & Manager when necessary
* Support associate scheduling driven by business needs
* Assist in day to day managing tactical operations for area of responsibility
* Communicate with business partners, including Merchandising & any other necessary business owners
* Oversee delegate to & direct a staff from 5 to up to 25 individuals & move people & resources as necessary to meet the needs of the business as business grows.
* Manage attendance within the team, reassigning as necessary to fill gaps in team
* Guide, direct & motivate shift staff on quality, performance & safety targets to ensure ongoing performance, including employee issues, discipline & conflict resolution
* Aid leadership in troubleshooting problems
* Oversee usage & handling of all equipment used in department including safety, PM’s & report all issues immediately
* Support & participate various company projects, initiatives & programs as needed including holding & participating in daily huddles & other communication programs
* Demonstrate operational principles
* Report all employee issues & accidents to management
* Assist & participate in productivity / setting up production & staff schedules in accordance to budget and/or business needs & ensure all breaks & lunches are taken as required.
* Support & participate various company projects, initiatives & programs as needed including holding & participating in daily huddles & other communication programs
Technical Responsibilities
* Assist leadership with order fulfillment issue that is inventory control related.
* Oversee direct staff on their day-to-day cycle counts & inventory reconciliation.
* Reconcile post manufacturing inventory issues using Warehouse Management System, SAP.
* Facilitate & monitor department setup & site opening & closing procedures 
* Inspect & ensure follow through & compliance with: Food Safety, General Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs), Safety & Sanitation compliance & FoodKick Quality policies; as well as ensure that the work area is safe, clean & organized for all team members to work.
* Oversee usage & handling of all equipment used in department including safety, PM’s & report all issues immediately
* Understand & work through customer complaints

* Shorts
* Cycle Count Frequency 
* Loss rates 
* Inventory Accuracy

Supervision Received: 
* Receives clear, detailed, & specific instructions & consults with Inventory Supervisor on all matters outside the scope of daily responsibilities/activities
* Interacts with key business owners in support of business objectives
* Trains & assigns work to team members on a daily basis; is able to perform the same work as the group on a daily basis
Minimum Qualifications: 
* A minimum of six (6) months experience working in a warehouse / manufacturing / food processing environment with previous supervisory experience
* Speak, write, read & interpret written information in English
* Basic math skills & detail oriented
* Able to work a flexible schedule / cover various shifts to include weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
* Ability to work in support of the team
* Demonstrate accuracy & thoroughness
* Follow policies & procedures.
* Able to stand for long period of times
* Ability to perform twisting, turning & bending
* Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs
* Comfortable & able to work overtime based on business needs
* Must be comfortable in warehouse/production environment
* Ability to meet production & accuracy standards in a fast-paced work environment. 
* Ability to work in climate from 32 to 38 degrees
Preferred Qualifications: 
* Knowledge of SAP
* Knowledge of departmental production processes, materials & production & sanitation techniques
* Strong communication skills both written & oral
* 18 months experience working in a warehouse / manufacturing / food processing environment, ideally with some previous supervisory experience
* Bilingual English / Spanish (spoken & written)
* Experience in a related field a plus

* Ability to understand computer systems to manage work flow within the department of efficiency
