Were looking for an experienced Senior Manager that will own all accounting functions for the business. The ideal candidate will be a smart, self-starter who has a strong desire to work at a fast-paced growth company. The individual will manage a Senior Accountant that is responsible for all AP & AR functions of the company. This position is the perfect opportunity for someone has been looking to take their career to the next level & lead the accounting function for a company.
How youll contribute to our mission
- Hands on leadership of the accounting operations of the company & manage all accounting operations including billing, AR, AP, GL, & revenue recognition
- Gain in-depth operational knowledge of the business to monitor, influence & impact the financial performance of the company
- Manage accounting month-end financial close, to ensure accurate & timely financial reporting of internal & external financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage outsourced work/functions - such as audits, payroll processing, benefits, etc.
- Ensure optimization of procedures & processes in place to produce timely & accurate financial information for management & external reporting purposes
- Implement & maintain effective internal controls & safeguards over company assets, receipt of revenue, payments of expenses, compliance with contractual obligations, & compliance with company policies
- Manage strategic & operational initiatives to optimize the efficiency & effectiveness of the broader accounting function
- Oversee technical accounting issues & review robust documentation around findings
- Act as primary contact to external auditors & lead an efficient audit processes
- Manage the annual & quarterly tax fillings for local, state & federal with external auditors & ensure compliance with local, state & federal tax laws

- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA is a must
- 7+ years of relevant experience consistent with a mid-size privately help growth company & relevant industry experience
- Experience with NetSuite & QuickBooks
- Strong analytical skills, process thinker, forecasting/planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, ability to present effectively to audiences at all levels of an organization
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced & deadline-oriented environment
- Self-Starter, can work independently & take initiative in challenging situations
- Team player who enjoys both working independently & values being part of a unit
- Ability to multi-task & prioritize work assignments in a constantly changing & challenging environment
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to work with & maintain confidential information
- Proficient with MS Office - particularly Excel & PowerPoint

What about the office?
This is a full-time role based in New York, NY with flexibility for remote work.
Our office is available to use three days a week - Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. We have a hybrid environment & ask that employees within the New York Metro area come together in person a minimum of three days per month. All other days are up to the discretion of the employees during the three days a week that the office will be open. We are continuing to closely monitor the state of COVID-19 in New York & will adjust this plan accordingly.
We will require COVID-19 vaccinations for anyone coming to our office. We are following CDC recommendations & will also require additional boosters, & will always follow CDC & NY state guidance on wearing masks in the office.
