The Role
BuzzFeed is searching for an experienced Supervising Video Producer to oversee production & people for the True Crime & Paranormal brand, BuzzFeed Unsolved. Your role will report to the Director of Programming & will partner with teams across the production to ensure the creative quality & output expectations for the team. You will establish the overall creative strategy for the brand & its multiple formats & channels & institute creative guidelines for all contributors & collaborators. You will have experience with true crime, conspiracies, supernatural mysteries, storytelling, & digital formats. This position is located in Los Angeles or New York City & will be hybrid.
You Will
- Manage a team of freelance producers
- Workshop pitches from talented residents & creators
- Provide creative feedback & notes on all projects going accounts across all platforms
- Oversee multiple ongoing projects & find creative ways to remove roadblocks
- Communicate with Director of Programming, Publishing lead, & Production teams to coordinate the timely delivery of videos
- Work with the Production & Post teams to oversee all projects from pre-production to publishing
You Have
- You should only apply if they have 4 years of experience with digital content & at least 2 years of management experience.
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro & Photoshop
- Understands the fundamentals of the pre-production to post workflow
- Familiarity with what goes viral on YouTube & Tiktok
- Comprehension of YouTube analytics
- Achieve making high-quality content
- Experience with working in a team environment
- Experience with illustrations & visual storytelling
