We are the worlds largest content recommendation platform, hiring a Manager, Media Sales - Middle-Market, Eastwith a passion for digital media, reporting to the Director, Media Sales. The Manager, Media Sales, Middle-Market will mentor & drive day-to-day management/onboarding of sellers on our middle-market media sales team, with varying levels of experience in sales & across the digital industry.

TheManager, Media Sales, Middle-Market will contribute to our continued growth by advocating the power of our platform to mid-sized brands, agencies & publishers across the country, & by coaching mid-level sales associates in their efforts doing the same. This person will showcase a passion to learn; will conduct oneself with patience, resolve & a sense of professional urgency.

In this role, the Manager, Media Sales, Middle-Market, will have every opportunity to grow as an aspiring sales leader, by mentoring & motivating direct reports, while perfecting an ability to communicate value & dictate change in prospect & client behavior.

This role will consist of a group quota, achievable by consistently identifying, closing & upselling partnership opportunities with middle-market advertisers; & by indirectly influencing sales productivity across a team covering these accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth by consistently developing, closing & scaling a pipeline of successful Middle-Market advertiser opportunities; across brand, agency & publisher accounts
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients through phone, email, social media, in-person meetings & professional networking events
  • Act as an internal advocate for clients & return client/market-driven insights to Product, as needed, to make sure Taboola is providing a best-in-class level of service for its partners
  • Learn, evangelize, position, & sell successful advertising strategies & innovative solutions, both creative & technical, across a range of industries & types of businesses
  • Demonstrate a mastery of the ability to balance time invested toward low- & high-spend potential accounts along with assessing where they fit within your sales pipeline
  • Mentor & help expedite onboarding for mid-level sellers on our Middle-Market Media Sales team, by way of weekly team & one-on-one meetings, conducting sales training workshops, & playing an influential role in the professional development of each team member
  • Assist in the on-boarding of external hires, & the transitioning of SMB team members into Middle-Market sellers by ensuring they demonstrate a mastery of the basic principles of Taboola, digital media, & full funnel pipeline management

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree (minimum) from either a college or university
  • 4+ years of experience in sales (digital advertising industry experience preferred, but not required) (1-2 years of previous management or team-lead i.e. player/coach experience in a sales capacity preferred, but not required)
  • Passionate about advertising, media & technology
  • Strong business acumen, & an ability to present & communicate ideas/concepts effectively
  • Ability to exercise consistent emotional intelligence, professionalism & persistence
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Ability to navigate & communicate with both internal (Taboola) & external (client) teams
  • Prior experience with Salesforce (or another CRM system) & related productivity tools
