Now its time to deepen that story with a better understanding of how Flexport will change the game. Were seeking a People Partner to be a frontline consultant to people managers to create a positive employee experience, offering consistent HR advice on people matters.

People Partners are subject matter experts, having sound knowledge in company & local programs, processes & policies, offering a strong & compelling point of view around People related matters. They are committed to collaboration with multiple People Business Partners, HR specialists & people managers across the various businesses. A key area of focus is to increase manager capability by driving  education on important people programs, policies, tools & processes.

You will: 

Act as an influential partner in helping managers with talent management processes, people development, performance management & manager coaching. Thanks to their visibility across businesses & their access to data on managers & employees requests, this role will be in a position to spot trends & identify emerging needs & address them with innovative people programs, tools & processes.

Employee Relations & Support

  • Process ownership for Employee Relations management, including disciplinary & performance improvement for issues not supported by the central Employee Relations team.
  • Consult managers on people matters that require in-depth knowledge of policies, procedures & local legislation, across multiple locations.
  • Conduct investigations & manage ER cases, escalating to the Employee Relations team when necessary

Performance management

  • Work with people managers end to end on performance management cases.
  • Analyze data & trends on ER & performance management, in order to provide input to the business strategy to PBPs, preventing the recurrence of known issues.

Talent Management

  • Coach, train & guide managers during the cyclical Talent activities & Annual Compensation Planning processes.
  • Consult Managers on Compensation matters.
  • Develop toolkit & communications that help managers to be self-sufficient with Talent Reviews.

People Development

  • Enable the success of new & experienced managers by leveraging, delivering & improving existing training contents & Confluence pages, & collaborating with the Org & People Development teams to anticipate & address emerging needs.
  • Support managers & employees in identifying training opportunities to further develop functional & managerial skills.
  • Support people managers with career conversations, Development Plans/Career Growth Plans & other development initiatives.

Organization & change management

  • Manage employees programs & support managers to drive improvements in employees engagement.
  • Provide support & guidance to People Business Partners & Business Managers on change initiatives.
  • Conduct exit interviews for people departing the company

HR General

  • Act as stewards of the employee experience
  • Act as Point of Contact & Program Manager for people tools, processes, programs or projects.
  • Design & deliver Manager Education initiatives to further drive collective education & manager effectiveness
  • Analyze data & observations across the organization, highlighting trends & recommending/driving solutions, as appropriate

You should have: 

  • Bachelors degree or higher, in Human Resources or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Human Resources experience.
  • Strong business & HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking & analysis.
  • Drives recommendations & prioritization. Looks to a lead or manager to put decisions into a broader business context.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Project management & execution skills.
  • Coaching & consulting skills.
  • Thrives in a high-pressure environment & able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities.
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team & business.
  • Strong ability to work in a matrix fashion with business lead People Partners.
  • Proficiency working with remote management.
