Do you have a hardware product idea, want to learn how to manufacture it or want to design your own PCB? Then gain the knowledge & skills by attending the PCB Workshop Series. |
The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is the heart & soul of your hardware product, which is the base for physically supporting, soldiering the surface-mounted & socketed components in most electronics. The PCB Workshop Series is designed for anyone who is interested in not only learning the essential & basic principles, but also learning how to use PCB design software to create your own Arduino Clone design. Moreover, you will learn to assemble & build your own PCBs & walk away with real working Arduino SMT clones. You will be on the way to launching your idea.
The Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is always the heart & soul of your hardware product. The PCB workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in incorporating PCBs into their hardware product.
Lean Hardware Startup: PCB 101 Principles
March 1st 10am-1pm
Whether you're going to work with PCBs yourself or to have someone else do the heavy lifting, this workshop will teach the essentials that you need to either get started, buy services, or manage someone doing it for you. Our instructor walks you through what a PCB is, how it's designed & made, how it gets assembled into functional hardware, costs, & how to save money when you're ready to prototype, or even step into production.
Lean Hardware Startup: PCB 102 Design it
March 2nd 10am-6pm
You'll learn about PCB design software, & then you'll create your own Arduino clone design.
You'll need to bring a notebook computer, & a mouse. We'll tell you what software you need to install before the class (it's all downloadable & is free). The software runs on Windows & OSX.
Lean Hardware Startup: PCB 103 Build it
March 15th 10am-6pm
In this session you will assemble a surface mount (SMT) Arduino clone. For those that have taken the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design class & want to take this one, you will be assembling your design you made in that class. For everyone else we will provide a design for you to assemble. You will learn how to assemble surface mount components onto a PCB, & how to correct the placement when the tiny legs on your microcontrollers don't quite line up. The price includes all the supplies necessary to build, soldier & test your project. You will walk away with a working Arduino SMTed clones.
