Were looking for an experienced & versatile Media & Demand Generation Sr. Manager to lead the forecasting, planning, execution, & reporting of our above-the-line campaigns for FanDuel Sportsbook (SBK), Daily Fantasy (DFS), & Free to Play (F2P) verticals. This role will be instrumental in liaising across a large team of high-performing media channel owners & ensuring the media mix, spend levels, & creative messaging are cohesive & aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate has experience developing a 7-figure media campaign across a variety of ATL media channels to drive awareness, registrations, & real-money players in a rapidly evolving industry.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Assist in strategy development, execution & optimization of the paid media programs within the marketing team, including TV, OTT/VOD, Audio, Direct Mail, & OOH/DOOH.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships w/ key external agency partners & media vendors to ensure relationships are strong, channels/business objectives are achieved & deliverables are consistently & accurately met.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, & KPI development for respective programs.
  • Work cross-functionally with media channel owners to drive impactful brand marketing as well as ensure investment, CPA, & player value/ROI targets are achieved on a monthly, quarterly, & annual basis.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across SBK, DFS, & F2P commercial & operations to ensure alignment on media strategy, identify key acquisition marketing opportunities, & spot trends & criticalities.
  • Drive on-going assessment of the Media & Demand Generation teams proficiencies by monitoring business drivers & trends & partnering with channel owners to prioritize SBK, DFS, & F2P within existing workstreams & processes.
  • Partner independently across the marketing organization (creative, integrated marketing, go-to-market teams, customer & growth marketing) to ensure consensus decision-making with regards to the media program.
  • Drive the development of a measurement framework to help us understand media & creative effectiveness to drive optimal growth.
  • Spearhead the development of a best-in-class media & marketing practice, including formalizing a tried & true go-to-market strategy for new states.
  • Have direct input into our martech & reporting strategy on behalf of SBK, DFS & F2P.
  • Mature our media practice by constantly iterating & improving our reporting, insights, experiments & partners.
  • Enhance media teams output for SBK, DFS, & F2P reporting & knowledge sharing within the business, including but not limited to delivering competitive research & deriving actionable insights.
  • Identify, develop, build & lead a high performing team dedicated to SBK, DFS, & F2P marketing.

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • A bachelors degree with a strong academic record is preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years working in a consumer marketing role or in ATL media.
    • Experience managing an agency or leading a client account at an agency is a plus.
  • A strong understanding of the TV marketplace, both locally & nationally.
  • At least 3 years of management experience, including building, training, & mentoring a high-performing team of media strategists, traders, or analysts.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheet data configuration, & analyst skills required.
  • Meaningful experience working with performance marketing & media metrics (CPM, CPI, CPA, CPC & LTV) & understanding of the utilization & relationship between them.
  • Experience negotiating favorable rates & deal structures with advertising partners, with an ability to make quick, confident decisions.
  • Analytical mind with a strong understanding of underlying data & methodologies used to inform decision making & drive performance management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, project management skills, & ability to multitask & prioritize.
  • Experience working across multiple businesses within a larger corporate structure.
    • Knowledge or understanding of the business & culture of real-money gaming is a plus.
  • Demonstrates ability to navigate a highly regulated & complex industry.
  • Possesses a strategic mind-set & takes a long-term view & anticipates future trends & implications.
  • Able to succinctly communicate both verbally & in writing, providing clear directions on projects.
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of internal teams.
  • Has an ear to the ground when it comes to emerging best practices & market trends.
