theSkimms Sales team is a growing group of experienced, resourceful, & scrappy hustlers. We pull out all of the stops to get sh*t done, whether thats working with agencies & clients directly, seeking out third-party partnerships to drive incremental revenue alongside top of the funnel growth, or contributing to the growth & efficiency of our pre & post-sales operations. 

This position will support our sales team by working with a growing team of Account Executives & Brand Strategists to establish & grow revenue-generating accounts in all pre-sale related activities. This role will report to the Senior Director, Client Services & Planning.


  • Build strategic media plans in partnership with Account Executives & Brand Strategists in a timely & detail-oriented manner across theSkimms portfolio of bespoke ad products & sponsorship packages (including but not limited to; native content creation across newsletter, podcast, social, video, web, & experiential)
  • Assist Account Executives in shepherding deals from pre-sale to close, including but not limiting to; managing client correspondence, media plan revisions, specs, production timelines, benchmarks, & required assets
  • Update & maintain inventory management systems, including but not limited to; proposal entries, revisions, status updates, & calendar reservations for media placements across all Skimm products
  • Lead conversations with clients & internal ops teams to process Insertion Orders for sold programs
  • Transition sold campaigns to the Creative Services team, ensure successful campaign launch
  • Understand product offerings, tentpole sponsorships, specs, & operational capabilities
  • Partner with Analytics & Operations teams to maintain campaign benchmark database & related metrics & information


  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in digital account management or media planning in a client-facing role at a digital media publisher
  • Knowledgeable of sales & digital publishing process across brand advertising, email, & social media marketing
  • Familiar with order management systems like boostr or Operative.One
  • Extremely detailed & organized
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinker & solution-oriented attitude
  • Is flexible & can deal effectively with changes in priorities or ambiguity
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced, multitasking, deadline-oriented environment
  • A background working with & leading communication with internal teams
  • Bachelor's degree required

This is a full-time role with flexibility for remote work. While our employees are continuing to work remotely throughout the remainder of 2021, we are excited to return to HQ in New York, NY next year. Beginning in January 2022, the office will be open Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday & NY metro area employees will come together in person a minimum of 3 days per month. All other days are up to the discretion of the employee & they may go in as often as they'd like.

We will require vaccinations for anyone coming to our office. We are following CDC recommendations for any additional boosters, & will always follow CDC & NY state guidance on wearing masks in the office.
