The field of connected devices that help inform & support individuals with the management of their health is rapidly evolving. At Omada, we believe connected devices including scales, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, & continuous glucose monitoring systems are powerful tools that both keep our members connected to real-time information about their health & help inform how Omadas care teams (health coaches, specialists, & health care providers) can best support our members in making meaningful improvements in managing their health. 

As Manager, Device Experience you will report to Omadas Senior Director of Member Operations & Device Strategy & be responsible for ensuring Omadas connected devices are driving value for our members, for our care teams, & for Omada. To do this, you will partner with leaders across Omada to define our device strategy & deliver the device experiences we intend for our members & our care teams. Facilitating productive cross-functional relationships to drive an improved overall device experience will be a core responsibility for this role including working with Product, Engineering, Clinical, Clinical Operations, Health Coaching Operations, Member Support, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, & our Legal, Regulatory, & Compliance teams.  You will work on projects with 3 different planning horizons:  tactical (operationalizing & scaling incident & request processes with our Member Support team), short-term (increasing member engagement measured by activation working with the Care Delivery & Product teams), & long-term (how Omada positions devices in its integrated virtual clinic working with the Commercial team).  

Your impact:

  • Evangelize the importance of device use alongside the software & human components of our product amongst a broad stakeholder group including our Commercial, Marketing, Product, Care Delivery, & Clinical teams
  • Lead efforts to define effective device usage patterns & execute initiatives to increase usage of devices by developing & monitoring goals & KPIs
    • Own the Omada-designed aspects of our device experience partnering with Product Design & Clinical to ensure the device experience for our members is conducive to desired device usage patterns
    • Own, iterate on & deliver device performance metrics to the Supply Chain team as a component of vendor management & make improvements based on performance data as a feedback loop
    • Ensure cross-functional stakeholders understand the current usage patterns for our devices & how they compare to our desired usage patterns
    • Partner with FP&A to monitor the ROI from our investment in devices & ensure our device strategy & overall device experience is supporting our revenue goals
  • Lead efforts to define & implement near-term & long-term strategies for our device offering 
    • Establish & document cross-functional needs for device performance relative to available solutions in the market & align requirements for existing & new device offerings with the Supply Chain team
    • Stay abreast of new connected device technologies & developments in healthcare related to home monitoring of health information
    • Partner on NPI processes with the Supply Chain team when new devices are adopted to execute against the defined device strategy
  • Ensure our Commercial & Marketing teams are able to accurately & effectively represent our device offering in the market
    • Support efforts to better leverage our device offering as part of Omadas demand generation & sales processes
    • Own the feedback loop to improve our device offering & messaging based on feedback from the market
  • Ensure our Care Delivery & Clinical Service teams have a comprehensive understanding of our device offering & device functionality
    • Develop resources & trainings on our device offering & device functionality for Omadas health care professionals (health coaches, specialists, & health care providers)
    • Develop resources & trainings to enable our Member Support team to effectively manage member issues related to our devices

You will be successful in this job if you:

  • Have implemented and/or operated a remote patient monitoring program using FDA regulated medical devices
  • Have worked tactically AND on short & long-term strategic projects
  • Experience improving user adoption & retention for connected devices
  • Are anchored in data-driven decision making, have established KPIs & implemented continuous improvement initiatives measured with KPIs
  • Minimum of 3-years in a role requiring broad pan-organizational cross-functional collaboration & coordination, with 5-8+ years of professional experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling strong alignment with partners & navigation of conflict constructively
  • Efficient & effective communication & presentation abilities, with ability to tailor approach to best reach intended audience
  • Solutions-oriented strategic thinker with a bias for action who can easily identify high-priority, high-impact projects & drive projects to completion
  • Ability to navigate uncertainty with agility & maintain appropriate forward momentum with strong core team engagement
