About the Role
Pursuit is looking for passionate Instructors to teach the 7.0 Cohort. Instructors should have a no-fail attitude & be prepared to work with their co-instructors, Pursuit Core team members, & volunteers to do whatever it takes to provide the appropriate curriculum, instruction, leadership, mentorship, & support to fellow student success. Qualified Instructors will have demonstrated professional experience working with React & an interest in teaching.
Pursuit HQ is located in Long Island City, Queens, but our office is currently closed in accordance to state-mandates regarding Covid-19 safety. Staff is working remotely until further notice.
- Deliver full-class instruction
- Lead small-group & one-on-one sessions for fellows in need of additional review
- Monitor chat & answer fellow questions
- Grade fellow work; offer robust written & verbal feedback to fellows
- Spearhead workshops & activities that respond to the needs of cohort
- Build & refine curriculum materials
- Passion for teaching & mentorship
- Compassionate & able to work with a broad range of students
- Strong work ethic & reliability
