Job Description

Kinetica is looking for an experienced software engineer who is keen to excel & contribute in developing geospatial data visualization applications. Join our diverse team of talented & highly technical engineers where you will build a cutting edge active analytics platform used by Fortune 500 companies around the globe.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain, enhance & extend Kinetica's rendering pipeline.
  • Working with the engineering group to keep a consistent & intuitive product experience
  • Working with the engineering group to help identify cohesive interaction model across components & propose key refinements to existing components to achieve cross-product experience alignment.
  • Provide strategic feedback on tooling landscape to help influence product direction.
  • Ensuring team's agreed-upon objectives are reached in a consistent & timely manner.
  • Degreed in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in C++.
  • Development experience in a Linux environment.
  • Comfortable with various tools (i.e. Git...)
  • Proven algorithmic experience.
  • Strong math & geometry skills.
  • Experience developing multithreaded OpenGL applications using C++.

Nice to have:

  • Computational geometry knowledge.
  • Geospatial data science know-how.
  • Prior scientific programming experience.
  • Python programming experience.
  • Understanding & prior experience with OpenGL, OpenGL ES, EGL, Cairo or Vulkan
  • GPU/CUDA programming experience.
  • Know-how on vector tiles & LOD implementations.
