Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring an Associate to join our Compliance Operations team.

Oscar is a technology-driven, consumer-focused health insurance startup founded in 2012 & headquartered in New York City. Our goal is to make health insurance simple, transparent, & human. We need your help to do so.

About the role:

Oscar is looking for an Operations Associate for Oscar's Corporate Compliance & Audit team to help identify, investigate, & oversee remediation of all instances of non-compliance at the company & among its delegates. You will work cross-functionally with many teams, including Insurance Operations, Market Conduct Compliance, Legal, & others to guarantee a culture of compliance at Oscar.

You will report to the Corporate Compliance & Audit Senior Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate all allegations of non-compliance at Oscar & among its delegates (often referred to as "first-tier, downstream, & related entities" or "FDRs")
  • Draft reports summarizing investigation findings & recommending corrective action as needed
  • Working with delegate Account Managers where appropriate, ensure Corrective Action Plans are opened, remediated, & closed in a timely manner, & oversee the Corrective Action Plan dashboard
  • Enforce Oscar's Corporate Compliance & Audit Policies & Procedures
  • Develop & showcase trainings, resources, & other materials to increase Compliance knowledge across the company & among its delegates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant compliance experience
  • 2+ years of healthcare compliance or regulatory experience
  • Knowledgeable about the regulations that govern health plans in states where Oscar does business
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly

Bonus points:

  • MHP, CHC strongly preferred
  • Delegate oversight experience
