About the Team
Fanatics Collectibles is a new company working at the intersection of collectibles & technology. Backed by some of the best investors, sports properties & operators in the world, we are integrating with Fanatics' global digital sports platform - which includes 900 sports relationships & more than 81 million reachable fans - to reimagine the collectibles business for the 21st century.

Provide financial leadership by managing general accounting & financial reporting activities to ensure accurate & timely compliance with all internal & external reporting requirements for the Fanatics Collectibles operating company.

This role will require a visionary leader who displays a passion for strengthening the team & fostering collaboration, learning & growth.
To be successful in this job, you must be a forward looking, proactive leader with business experience in increasingly complex businesses, across geographies & business channels. The candidate must be an experienced, collaborative accounting professional with the background & interpersonal skills sufficient to function successfully in a growth-enabling & challenging position. He or she must have the ability to embrace & assume ownership” of various processes & reports, implementing structure & enhancing maturity. Attention to detail, superior organizational & project management skills, & exceptional communication skills are important.
This position will provide accounting, processing & analytical support for Fanatics Collectibles; specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
•Assist in compiling & supporting internal reporting function, including preparation of monthly & quarterly analytical & executive summary write-ups (BS, P&L & cashflow analyses)
•Manage monthly accounting processes & reporting
•Support the consolidation process for Fanatics Collectibles operating company (focus on zerocool business unit)
•Acquire a deep understanding of the business processes related to assigned general ledger accounts, including transaction flow
•Perform duties in compliance with GAAP, company & department policies & procedures, internal controls, & Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
•Prepare ad hoc financial reporting requests, other analyses & special projects requested by management
•Assist with technical accounting research
•Assist Controller on special projects dealing with accounting & financial reporting
•Help foster a culture of continuous improvement mind-set, drive change within the department
•Help prepare & develop department to scale-up & be SOX compliant based upon process improvements, sourcing & implementing the proper technology, & placing proper talent within key roles
•Assist with driving compliance with GAAP & implementation of new standards
•Assist with managing & developing an efficient, clean & successful audit

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following credentials:  

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
•5+ years of accounting experience, public & private experience preferred
•Ability to handle multiple tasks & stringent deadlines within a fast-paced environment is a must
•Ability to organize & prioritize
•Must have strong analytical skills 
•Must have excellent communication skills - verbal & written
•Ability to effectively work with multiple departments
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, & experience with ERPs is preferred 
•Strong attention to detail
•SEC experience with a public company a plus

CERTIFICATION
A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is preferred for this role.
