Manager, Inventory Control

Introduction: 

Warby Parker is on the lookout for a motivated inventory expert to analyze & manage the controls related to the flow of our goodsfrom the moment a purchase order is placed to the time our product ends up in a customers hands. In this role, youll continually assess our operational & system processes to ensure were performing at the very highest levels of accuracy & control around our inventory. What youll do:

  • Oversee the month end close process for Inventory Control, approving all adjustments & partnering with Accounting on key financial processes like Inventory Reserves
  • Lead regular reconciliations of Inventory Counts, Purchasing, Damages, & other key inventory transactions
  • Own the accuracy of our inventory data, partnering with our Technology team to resolve systems issues
  • Provide feedback & expertise on controls to internal stakeholders across our Supply Chain & Retail facilities
  • Lead, motivate, & develop an all-star team of Inventory Control professionals
  • Consult on strategic projects & day-to-day operations, ensuring all processes adhere to sufficient controls & minimize risk

Who you are:

  • Backed by 5+ years of professional experience in inventory management or control
  • Experienced with both operational & financial inventory processes, including familiarity with quarterly & annual audits
  • Armed with strong analytical skills & a sharp attention to detail
  • A positive team-player with a can-do attitude & exceptional cross-functional collaborative skills
  • A total Excel expert (keyboard shortcuts are your love language)
  • Ready to travel up to 25% of the time

Extra credit

    • 1-2 years of experience as a people manager
    • Experience working with inventory in a Retail, 3PL, Manufacturing, or similar facility
