Perform research & gather data to market products & services. Gather data on consumer demographics, preferences, needs, & buying habits. Devise, evaluate, & use a variety of methods, such as interviews, questionnaires, focus groups, market analysis surveys, public opinion polls, & literature reviews for collecting data & information. Determine position in the marketplace by researching competitors & analyzing prices, sales, & marketing methods. Use this information to determine potential markets, product demand, & pricing. Conducting research concerning targeted consumers to develop advertising brochures, commercials, sales plans, & product promotions.
Associate's Degree in Commerce or Marketing plus 60 months experience in Marketing. 24 months of experience in each of the following skills are required: (1) researching competitor's prices, sales, & marketing methods; (2) determining potential markets; & (3) monitoring market intelligence.
