It's been an exciting time of growth, change, & development for Wattpad.  We are expanding our largest team - engineering & data - & with this growth comes the need to expand our team management. Engineering Managers are part of the Engineering Leadership Team at Wattpad; they play a big role day-to-day to ensure their team has the skills they need to be successful; through hiring, growth, & development of individuals. As an Engineering Manager,  you will have a direct impact in shaping the engineering ethos at Wattpad, a voice within the department leadership, & stewarding the growth of a team of diverse engineers & data practitioners.

 

We are looking to hire an Engineering Manager for our new Core Client Group which focuses on delivering, maintaining, improving, & building platforms to enable Wattpad to iterate & evolve our best-in-class platform. This group consists of two teams-the Core Client Experience team which owns our design language & systems & the Core Client Platform team which owns our Web, iOS, & Android platforms. Based on the candidate's unique set of skills & passion areas, they will be considered to lead one of these dynamic teams.

 

With 90M users (and growing), this team is working to unify our designs, build scalable & easily maintained client platforms in the technical challengings space of social content sharing & discovery. We're looking for someone who is passionate about solving these problems & who is ready to dive deep into questions around stability, scalability, cost of ownership, & security.
