Who Are You?
To be a good fit as a Klarna legal problem solver, you've frequently found yourself thinking three steps ahead & reading the thoughts of people sitting across the table. First, you always ask yourself, What's best for the company? Couldn't we do it this other way instead? Second, you are obsessed with engaging with your customers & work hard to develop personal relationships with key business partners. Third, you pay attention to the smallest detail without losing the bird's-eye, overall business perspective. You have likely thought long & hard about what makes people trust you & your judgment & spent time thinking about how to simplify legal concepts & communicate them plainly. Fourth, you see problems as opportunities & take the initiative to make changes & improvements. Finally, you are passionate about your job & enjoy a fast-paced international working environment.
What will you do?
We are looking for legal counsel to support our payment networks. You will work closely with our commercial & product teams & become an integral part of our organization jointly working on solutions to disrupt the world of payments & online shopping.
You will generate regulatory & contractual legal products & solutions for your team & enable sustained exceptional growth by identifying & solving legal problems. Although located in the U.S., you will serve as the team's first & global point-of-contact & source of truth for any legal matter arising in its problem space.
To be successful in these roles, you must have extensive knowledge & hands-on experience in payment networks & partnerships, consumer credit, card issuance (including Reg. E, Reg. Z, NACHA rules, & card network rules), either from a reputable law firm, card issuer, bank, or a comparable industry player.
