VaynerMedia is a global creative & media agency built for the now. Born in social our work is now full service, simply loving big ideas that connect & create real change for our clients business. We are independently owned, founded in 2009 with offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, Sydney & Mexico City. And were not too bad at what we do, with our work winning in Cannes Lions, the Clios, D&AD & The Webbies to name a few. 

Here in London we have huge ambitions. Weve doubled in size over the last year & broadened both our client list & the kind of work were doing for them. Our roots are in social & we love it - its where we get to understand different audiences, to experiment, to gain insight & to see how people really engage & respond to ideas. 

We are creative & media in equal measure because both are equally important in developing effective communications. A lot of our work in-house (with our own production, edit & motion teams) because execution is key to effectiveness. We believe 100% that brands can be built on digital platforms & part of our model is built bottom up, flipping the traditional advertising model & process on its head. We dont play to agency/industry norms & our culture & energy reflects that.

We have an incredible client list across UK, EMEA & Globally. Our ideas live & breathe in organic & paid social but also fully integrated campaigns including TVCs, radio, press, OOH (you name it were there). Our difference? The Role:

Were looking for a strong Strategist who has excellent written & verbal communication skills in English & German & is fully engrossed in the cultural nuances that evolve within the German market. 

This strategist will need to have a keen understanding & love of social media as they will be joining our ever growing strategy team to lead the day-to-day strategy activity of the agency's largest account, Tik Tok. You must LOVE all things Tik Tok, already be on the platform & be passionate about the role it can play in building brands & connecting to audiences in an authentic way. No account comes close in terms of needing to be on the front foot in culture. This isnt an account for people who like to take 6 months to develop one piece of creative. This is an always on role, that moves daily & will put you at the epicentre of culture. 

Strategists are tasked with the day-to-day strategic ownership of the account, helping senior strategists or strategy directors with achieving the vision set for the account - with their support. 

A strategist will be asked to write & deliver great briefs, work closely with creative & media teams in making it a reality, & selling the strategy & work to clients. While they work under an accounts strategic leadership, they are the engine that makes great work, which captures consumer attention, changes a clients business, & creates work that leverages culture. While we want you to shape the work, we also want to help shape your career towards leading accounts & you will learn how to move to senior strategist & strategy director by doing. 

Your day to day could involve any part of the strategic process: helping to look for insights & signals to shape briefs, working with creative teams to craft work to test & learn from in the world, working with media to shape the insights into what weve created, creating & delivering reports to show what we should do next & working with clients to help make plans a reality. 

The task at hand:

  • Create & brief teams of creators to make content, turning cultural signals & audiences into actionable briefs for the German market + wider EMEA region.
  • Work with creatives to review concepts & ideas - helping shape the narrative & creating meaningful content.
  • Work with the PCS (junior strategist) to mine insights & cultural trends
  • Monitor effectiveness & help to continuously show where we can strategically improve through performance analysis & report creation
  • Create platform, content, & campaign strategy & share knowledge about opportunities in digital & social channels
  • Insights & reporting - working closely with the media team to pull actionable insights that drive our work forward. 
  • Build audience cohorts that create a deeper understanding of larger verticals & topics to inform creative ideation, creator selection, & media targeting.

Desirable skills & experience:

  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English & German & is fully engrossed in the cultural nuances that evolve within the German market. 
  • A capable & experienced strategist with a curious mind that has a hunger to make great work. 
  • Experience in owning the day-to-day strategic input of a growing account - while working with junior & more senior strategists in support.
  • Experience thinking about insights & cultural trends
  • Experience in briefing creative teams & working with creators to shape ideas
  • Ability to thrive & remain agile in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Understanding of relevant social media platforms & their requirement
  • A real love for social
