Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experiencedProductOwnerwho can give our customer's voice a seat at the Scrum table.They should understand the Agile process from beginning to end, including user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint planning & QA.
Key Responsibilities
The following are the core areas for which you will be responsible:
- Partner with the Payments Product Manager to establish a payments product vision & roadmap for a Cloud-Based POS Application. This includes:
- Enhancing current payment products & communicating business & technology needs, along with the product roadmap to all stakeholders from executive management to IT support teams
- Establishing relationships & partnering with stakeholders to learn & research the payments space as it pertains to Revel Systems
- Optimizing the current platforms & driving innovations in future payment platforms
- Advocate for the customer on the Scrum team, providing vision & direction to the Agile development team & stakeholders throughout the project
- Work closely withProductManagement to create & maintain aproductbacklog according to business value or ROI
- Work with designers to ensure a high-level user experience is delivered
- Participate as a key member within an Agile team of developers, QAs & designer to meet committed sprint timelines
- Plan & prioritize theproductfeature backlog to ensure that the scrum team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared stories
- Provide backlog managementalongside the Scrum master, iteration planning, & elaboration of the user stories
- Lead the planningproductrelease plans & set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
- Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
- Research & analyze market, the users, & the roadmap for theproduct
- Follow our competitors & the industry
- Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices & new trends
Supporting Activities
As a RevelProductOwner, you will collaborate closely with theProductManagers & other stakeholders to assist with:
- Defining theproductvision & roadmap
- Planning releases
- Developing user personas
- Identifying market & customer needs
From time to time,some projects may require additional business analysis skills including:
- Performing detailed requirements analysis
- Evaluating & documenting business processes
- Anticipating requirements & uncovering areas for improvement
- Assistingbusiness stakeholders duringuser acceptance testing
Requirements
- Previous working experience as aProductOwner in Point of Sale and/or Paymentsfor 5 years
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering & Information Technology or similar relevant work experience
- Prior experience in credit card payments, acquiring merchants & consumer wallets
- In-depthknowledge of Agile process & principles
- Outstanding communication, presentation & leadership skills
- Excellent organizational & time management skills
- Sharp analytical & problem-solving skills
- Creative thinker with a vision
- Attention to details

- Relevant industry experience as a cashier, waiter, cook, store manager or key holder in the food service or retail industries
