Who you are
You are a highly resourceful, motivated individual that thrives on driving business results. You lean towards collaboration, versus the need to personally drive every step of the process (the key to this role is the ability to align + influence, we have a team!). You are capable of hands on keyboards media buying, but your core competency is getting results (directly or indirectly). As an example, there was a time when you learned of a new media partner or marketing technology solution @ 10a & made a recommendation / drove a decision by 5p, all in the same day. You thrive in nimble learning, understanding complexity, & balancing multiple stakeholders.
You have a proven track record of success & 4+ years working in a digital media capacity, with a focus on consumer-facing brands.
What the role is
In this Media Manager, Strategic Partnerships role, you will be an integral part of the Marketing team, with ultimate responsibilities to inform, manage, & influence the paid media efforts of our Alcohol Supplier partners (think Diageo, Pernod Richard, Gallo, MillerCoors, etc.). Drizly & it's Supplier partners have clearly aligned goals to grow Ecomm sales across all alcohol brands - this role will drive growth via Supplier's media campaigns, informing media-specifics matters like audience targeting, ecommerce measurement, & ad experience.
Drizly operates in a significant category (alcohol sales = $120B), but Ecommerce remains an untapped opportunity (<1% of sales occur online). So, we need this role to sit alongside some of the largest brands in the country & create a mutually-beneficial paid media strategy. Drizly is in the unique position to be a startup, growth company with a seat at the table at well-established alcohol brands.
You will work alongside our in-house media team (also on the Marketing team), Supplier Partnerships team (a distinct department that owns account management), Analytics, & work directly with the Suppliers (eg. Diageo brands like Kettle One vodka). Your ability to collaborate, influence, & drive results will make you a business-critical contributor to Drizly's growth! The efforts behind Supplier-funded media is critical to the success of Drizly in 2020 & on a short list of top company objectives.
