The Vant Technology team is building data products to support these goals. A core component of our data-driven strategy is the use of real-world data (RWD), particularly focused on expanding & enhancing the power of our clinical trials by allowing population sub-segmentation, pre-NDA HEOR, data-only Phase 4, label expansion, & synthetic control arm trials. To achieve this goal, you will collaborate closely with clinical trial design & operations teams at our subsidiary pharmaceutical Vants, data & analytics experts at our sister company Sumitovant, & internal engineering teams. The RWD data science team is responsible for identifying RWD opportunities, analysis (design, implementation, & execution), & communicating results to drive value in our clinical trials.
What you will do:
- Serve as the lead scientist/researcher for health economics & outcomes research studies - from study initiation to final reporting - under the direction of the head of RWE
- Conduct statistical analyses utilizing SQL, Python, or relevant software
- Develop & maintain relationships with our pharma Vants & partner with senior executives to understand data & evidence needs & provide insight into the power of RWD analytics
- Partner with our technology companies, Lokavant & Datavant, to leverage the data & technologies they have built to bolster our RWD practice
- Lead & execute RWD analyses, including publishing peer-reviewed work where appropriate
- Develop & apply novel statistical methodologies to identify data asset gaps
- Bring new ideas & approaches to the organization, helping define our research & analytics offerings & contributing as a thought leader
Who you are:
- Advances quantitative graduate degree in the life sciences, health economics, epidemiology, or related field (PhD preferred), plus 5+ years of work experience
- Experience with real-world data (medical claims, pharmacy claims, EMR data, etc.) to generate scientifically rigorous results
- Deep experience in designing, collecting, & analyzing RWD using EHRs, patient charts & administrative claims datasets
- Proficient in SQL & one of python or R & experience working with large datasets
- Ability to take detailed observational study results & communicate them in a clear, non-technical manner to internal cross-functional teams
- Contribute to company publications strategy via development of conference abstracts, presentations, peer-reviewed manuscripts based on the findings of RWE studies
- Experience interacting with the FDA or other regulatory bodies a plus
- Experience with payers a plus
