FanDuel is looking for a Marketing Director to drive our customer retention & marketing initiatives through automation & technology advancement. In this role, you will oversee the marketing technology stack & campaign automation projects across all customer marketing programs at the FanDuel Group. You will have expert knowledge of CRM systems, technologies & foster a culture of Martech innovation.  The ideal candidate will be an evangelist for best practices throughout the company to produce delightful customer experiences & drive business KPIs. You will use your background in CRM to change the way FanDuel thinks about marketing technology & automation, & enable different brand verticals to do more with new & existing tools. Technical Knowledge & Implementation

  • Set marketing technology roadmap to accomplish business goals in partnership with the Vice President of Customer Marketing
  • Define a marketing technology vision & oversee current Martech stack; execute constant iterations that build towards the ideal of maximizing efficiency & enhancing technical capabilities
  • Be a resource for others as a systems expert, sharing extensive knowledge of our marketing technology stack (Braze, Knime, CDP) & our data sources 
  • Drive a data strategy that enables the marketing team using your knowledge of data & data architecture
  • Spearhead conversations between marketing & product on using APIs & different data transfer methods to automate marketing campaigns end-to-end
  • Provide technical expertise & strategic leadership on campaign automation projects
  • Ensure all customer marketing communications ladder up to a coordinated & coherent customer experience across brand verticals & contribute to building a single customer view

Program Management

  • Partner with the Customer Marketing Vice President & Product Development in the execution & deployment of the marketing technology roadmap 
  • Inform roadmap priorities by assessing the biggest opportunities for the business
  • Manage relationships with all customer marketing vendors, & create productive avenues for conversations around new feature discovery, issue resolution, & contract negotiations 
  • Evaluate potential vendors & lead the implementation of new tools 
  • Set up cross-functional work plans & processes to handle large-scale, marketing owned projects 
  • Represent customer marketing & technology interests as a key stakeholder at cross-functional meetings & decision points 
  • Develop & maintain strong cross-functional relationships with teams inside & outside of the marketing organization 

Team Development

  • Foster a positive & productive culture & recruit a world-class team as a leader in the customer marketing department
  • Identify, develop & grow top talent within the customer marketing organization
  • Provide mentorship & guidance while allowing direct reports to independently manage & delegate within their verticals
  • Encourage a culture of knowledge sharing by prioritizing documentation & creating infrastructure for continuing education & team development 

Ensure marketing technology feature parity across all brand verticals 


What were looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum 7 years of industry experience in customer marketing, with strategic & technical knowledge around creating & managing marketing campaigns from start to finish
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Experience managing a multi-tiered team preferred
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • Proven experience leading a CRM team across multiple channels & using marketing communications & personalization tools (e.g. Braze & Movable Ink)
  • Extensive experience executing campaigns end-to-end, including copywriting & creative development, coding, campaign setup, & analysis
  • Deep understanding of multiple parts of the marketing technology stack, including ESPs,  Customer Data Platforms & technical services 
  • Demonstrated expertise in  database structures & data transfer methods (e.g. ETL, API) 
  • Demonstrated expertise in multi-channel marketing & understanding of compliance considerations for each (CAN-SPAM, double opt-ins, etc) 
  • Experience with Agile development framework & track record of partnering with product & engineering teams on multiple projects at once
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate on cross-functional projects with multiple departments both in marketing & product & engineering
  • Has a positive attitude & loves opportunities to collaborate with others
  • Strong organizational skills & effective at project management
  • Willing to work nontraditional hours, including weekends & evening shifts 
  • An avid sports & gaming fan, & have played FanDuel or competitive products preferred
