We're looking for a seasoned Compensation Consultant to join our team. 

You will report directly to the Global Compensation Director & can be based in our NYC headquarters or remotely in an approved US state.

  • Analyze external benchmark data ensuring we have the data & processes in place to create & maintain  competitive pay structures & packages
  •  Leverage a combination of internal & external data to evaluate existing roles and  provide recommendations on new roles. 
  • Provide consultation to senior business leaders using your compensation expertise & ability to influence key stakeholders in the organization.  
  • Create compelling presentations utilizing data & key facts to educate & provide key stakeholders with recommendations supporting their business strategies.
  • Research compensation trends & leverage your findings to improve Squarespace products & processes 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to model the financial (e.g., cost, dilution) & talent (e.g., attrition, hiring) effects of compensation decisions; make recommendations for compensation strategy & processes based on findings.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders, Recruiting, HR Business Partners, Legal & Finance to provide compensation expertise & data presented in a professional manner with recommendations to address challenges to help your partners & businesses succeed.    
  • Lead year-end planning for the compensation team as well as your client groups   Creating timing & project plans.  Modeling  budgets, matrices & other data related to year-end activities.  Collaboration with tech partners regarding system parameters & set-up.  Collaborate with other key partners to create training, communications, reporting & tools.   
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory filings & updates, notices, mandates, audits, non-discrimination testing, & employee records.
  • Lead impactful organization wide  projects/priorities utilizing your excellent project management skills
  • Provide subject matter expertise in collaboration with internal communications on implementation & change management  of compensation products/processes



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of work experience in HR with 8+ years in compensation, preferably in Finance, Consulting, or Technology sectors
  • Advanced Excel skills (can write advanced macros & maintain complex spreadsheets)
  • 3+ years experience with program modeling, design, & implementation, inclusive of tool management for administration & employee support
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the US & international markets
  • Strong business acumen skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Maturity  & integrity to respect & handle sensitive data


  • Experience with equity administration for a publicly traded company
  • Experience using Google products (Sheets, Docs) 
  • Sales incentive compensation experience
  • Experience with Workday
  • Certified Compensation Professional
