The Who, What, Why & Where

Twilio is growing rapidly & seeking a Software Engineer (L2) to be a key contributor for our Customer Lifecycle Engineering team, where you will develop features that impact all points in the customer lifecycle. You will use the latest distributed systems programming techniques & technologies, including microservices, kubernetes, AWS cloud infrastructure, microservices & APIs.  The person in this role will bring with them the ability to write complex backend services, communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, & have a tremendous drive to hone their craft. 

This individual will help extend the reach of how & where Twilio products are sold, by creating & modernizing our integrations in marketplaces such as AWS, Azure, & Google Cloud, as well as enabling our international partner channels.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a software engineer who lives the Twilio Magic & has a demonstrated track record of building & maintaining complex backend systems in a dynamic environment using the latest data center technologies, both on-prem & in the cloud.  They also have:

  • 2+ years of software development experience in a modern programming language (Go (preferred), Python, Java, Ruby or C++)
  • Experience with building reliable & robust software that tolerates & recovers from unreliable dependencies
  • OO  experience & software engineering expertise (coding, automated tests, profiling, monitoring, etc)
  • Interest in of AWS,  k8s, & lambda  a plus
