Peloton is looking for a self-motivated, dynamic attorney with experience in marketing & advertising law to help manage key business & marketing functions, with internal clients from our marketing & brand teams! The person in this role will be responsible for advising internal clients & will assist in managing outside counsel on brand licensing, marketing, trademark clearance, advertising compliance, Member experience, & related commercial transactions. This position requires a thorough understanding of Pelotons multifaceted business, including its partners, Members, & competitors, in order to support the achievement of business objectives.


  • Assist with the strategic management of Peloton Legal brand licensing & marketing matters, including advertising campaigns, social media reviews, & creative asset & lockup reviews
  • Assist with developing & implementing marketing & social media standard methodologies, process improvements & regular training for various audiences within Peloton
  • Advise internal clients & business partners on risks & opportunities related to Pelotons media assets & priorities, marketing claims, & brand positioning
  • Draft & negotiate commercial contracts for partners in the apparel, marketing, creative, & brand organizations, with assistance of senior in-house attorneys and/or outside counsel where appropriate
  • Demonstrate a keen ability to issue-spot sensitive legal & business concerns within complex programs & business materials, & a strong sense of when to raise (and not raise) those matters to internal partners and/or other stakeholders


  • 6+ years working at a top law firm or in-house practice focusing on marketing, advertising, & ancillary matters (in-house experience is preferred)
  • Solid understanding of domestic & international laws & regulations governing fair use & trademark clearances, advertising (e.g., false advertising, claim substantiation, fair use, & rights of publicity) as well as experience with intellectual property & marketing clearances
  • Experience drafting & negotiating license agreements, agency service agreements, & statements of work
  • Experience with drafting, reviewing, & revising marketing assets & identifying potential risks to the business
  • Outstanding critical thinking skills, with a bias for action & confidence to make informed decisions that have both legal & business implication
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with an interest in working cross-functionally
  • Fastidious organization & focus in prioritizing & managing multiple projects at once
  • Ability to collaborate with all personality types, including creatives & other entertainment industry players
  • Knowledge about the consumer tech, social media, product placement, & marketing world
  • Knowledge of union & collective bargaining (e.g., SAG) issues, rules, & regulations is a plus
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative business
  • A member in good standing of the NY or comparable State Bar
