The Business Development Lead/Manager will lead a team of passionate Business Development Representatives & focus on sales development & pipeline creation for Pluralsight EMEA. Taking strategic & operational accountability for the front end of the marketing & sales qualification funnel. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development.
What you'll own:
You will lead the Business Development Representatives to use effective prospecting techniques to identify & qualify potential buyers
Take a hands-on approach to front-line management from daily coaching & role-playing, to listening to live calls & recorded calls from recent interactions
Continuously & actively recruit to ensure incoming talent is in place to reach agreed-upon goals
Manage the onboarding process for new team members & ongoing training for existing team members. Evaluate the current BDR workflow & create changes as needed
Develop & maintain strong relationships with other functional areas internally at Pluralsight ie Professional Services, Implementation, Subject Matter Experts to ensure a collaborative approach to secure large enterprise engagements.
You'll use an integrated approach with Marketing & leverage modern demand generation methodologies & platforms (Salesforce, Outreach, Zoominfo, Marketo, LinkedIn, email, phone, etc.) to build & nurture relationships
As appropriate, develop an ongoing calendar of contests (SPIF) & recognition/rewards to celebrate achievements & motivate the team; maintain a competitive environment that includes various sales competitions to keep the tone & tempo of the department energized & positive
Experience you'll need:
2+years Sales Management or Business Development Management experience with the ability to create a compelling vision for success & inspire the team to deliver exceptional results
Ability to manage in the moment; providing immediate feedback & mentoring with the appropriate approach
Proven track record of exceeding quota OR Digital Demand generation role in Marketing with tenure of experience High-level knowledge of other technology & tools used for this role such as Engagio, Marketo, Outreach, Domo, Discover.org, Salesforce, Seismic, Linkedin Sales Navigator
