The role

The Enterprise Team is a key component of the commercial team at GoCardless. Our mission is to enable the worlds biggest companies to embrace the payments revolution to deliver long-term business growth. We take the pain out of getting paid so brands can focus on what they do best. Our vision for the Enterprise team is to make GoCardless synonymous with payment excellence throughout the globe!

  • Managing sales cycles & closing business with the worlds biggest Enterprises
  • Prospecting into a set of defined accounts in your territory.
  • Working with multiple stakeholders across Marketing & Sales Development to align outbound activity.
  • Selling the value of GoCardless through a deep understanding of your prospects business & what problems you can solve
  • Liaising with internal partners to support sales cycles to ensure deals are closed in a timely manner.

What will you be doing? 

  • Create, execute & constantly refine your business plan as the owner of a defined Enterprise territory.
  • Using MEDDIC sales methodology, you will engage directly with Decision Makers, Champions & Budget holders in Enterprise businesses across EMEA.
  • Beat quota consistently whilst having fun doing so!
  • Work closely with partners through account mapping, pipeline development & co-pitching.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, activity & pipeline reports within Salesforce.
  • Provide accurate & timely forecasts on how you will deliver your quarterly & annual quota
  • Build & maintain a consistent & credible funnel of opportunities to ensure revenue targets are met.

Desired skills:

  • Strong commercial acumen & demonstrated ability to successfully navigate & influence within a complex business environment
  • A positive attitude to coaching & personal development & a willingness to learn.
  • Thrives on hunting down new business & adept at creating sustainable pipeline
  • Excellent communication & facilitation skills, consistent track record of building positive relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Adept at managing lengthy sales cycles (up to 12 months) at enterprise level, maintaining a focus on keeping the deals on track.
  • Distinctive problem-solving & project management skills, including experience executing complex strategic & operational initiatives.
  • Experience in Technology/SaaS Sales or in Financial solution selling experience in a complimentary company offering a value add offering.

Their feedback helped us develop our 'Adaptive Working' model, rolling out mid to late 2021. It's built around three components: days in the office, remote working, & enhanced environments. This means teams will be able to come into a GC office between one & three days per week for collaboration & teamwork, with the rest spent working remotely to enable a healthy work/life balance. Well also be reimagining our office environments so they enhance the collaboration & socialisation aspects our GeeCees told us they value most highly.

We continually review this approach in conjunction with the changing restrictions in each of our locations; additionally we offer support to maintain wellbeing & comfort, including subsidised home office equipment, workstation assessments & a range of remote social activities you can dip in & out of whenever you fancy.
