Students & teachers use Newsela to find digital content from hundreds of the best sourcesfrom National Geographic to NASA, Biography.com to Encyclopedia Britannica, the Washington Post to the Wichita Eagle. Content is instructionalized to meet students where they are, with interactive tools & analytics to take them where they want to go. Newsela has become an essential solution for schools & districts, with a presence in over 90% of U.S. K-12 schools. Newsela is the content platform for the connected classroom.

This is an incredible opportunity to lead an executive support function at a face-paced, high growth edtech company. Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member in the development of all administrative projects at Newsela. You have the confidence to take on any project & are proactive in your daily work. You welcome change & have the ability to anticipate the needs of the CEO. We are looking for someone who has a commitment to continuous improvement & is excited to add value each & everyday.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of CEO's meetings, schedule & deliverables.
  • Engage directly with internal & external stakeholders & communicate on behalf of the CEO
  • Manage emails for efficient & effective organization & references.
  • Support the design, development & delivery of content for Board of Directors
  • Plan & arrange Executive Team Strategy Offsites
  • Take detailed notes & attend weekly Leadership meetings.
  • Support all administrative needs & special projects for the CEO.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience supporting Executives at high growth start-up
  • Competent with all Google Suite, Microsoft applications, Slack, & other productivity tools.
  • Outstanding project & event management skills.
  • Maintains discretion & confidentiality in relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Highly organized & a strategic thinker with the ability to multitask
