ClassDojos ultimate goal is to create an education system that serves every child on Earth with a 10x better learning experience than today. Our plan to do this is to bring communities of teachers, kids, & families together all over the world, & give those communities the power to improve their classrooms.
As a product manager, you are embedded with a team of engineers, researchers, product designers, & other cross-functional partners. You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from conception, to launch, & ongoing iterative improvements, working at both a strategic & tactical level to create products that teachers, parents, & students love.
What youll do:
Turn data, research, & intuition into products that people want & love to use. In the process, you get perspective by exploring divergent directions, converging on feasible, innovative designs, & optimizing for learning each step of the way. Design & ship experiences that are simple & elegant across multiple platforms.
What you'll bring to the team:
Youve shipped products & led cross-functional teams. Youve weathered release cycles & know what details matter at each stage, how to motivate engineers to get the fit & finish right, how to translate insights from user studies into meaningful action, & whats most likely to go afoul at each stage. You can share several shining examples of real work you've shipped, & what you learned along the way.
You thrive best when helping to define the requirements, not just coordinating different functions. You deeply empathize with users & craft experiences that delight them. You facilitate & draw the best ideas from teammates. You have the ability to think at a high level about product strategy & vision (not just 'how it should look' but 'what we should build) You can think & talk about the bottom line. Analytics dont scare you, & you know which features can act as force multipliers on your companys business model. You want to contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product & executive teams.
You possess excellent communication skills (you should be able to clearly articulate your beliefs & win people over to your vision). You like sharing your work, even if its still in progress, to bring the team inside of your process. You have a sharp ambiguity filter, always seeking to clarify what is unclear for yourself & others.
You know that shipping doesnt end after you release. You work with your teams to ensure a culture of continuous improvement, driven by qualitative & quantitative insights. You give & solicit feedback from teammates in order to continually raise our bar for quality.
You feel at home with data & statistics. You have strong quantitative skills & create/refine hypotheses by exploring user data. Youre excited to iteratively improve metrics & you can write your own SQL to monitor product progress & opportunities.
What youll need:
Experience in designing, building, & shipping quality consumer apps across platforms.
