Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Senior Analyst, Clinical Strategy & Optimization to join our Clinical Review team.

About the role

The Senior Analyst on the Clinical Strategy & Optimization team supports regulatory compliance & reporting for Oscar's Utilization Management program.

You will support clinical operations processes by identifying areas for potential improvement across several lines of business to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements & development of reports.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Utilization Management Strategy & Operations. This is a hybrid role, & you will work part of the time in the New York office & part of the time working remotely.


  • Support development & implementation of clear, scalable & dynamic operational processes which support regulatory & audit requirements.
  • Monitor internal processes to ensure compliance with policies, procedures & adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Assist process owners in gathering evidence for regulatory reporting & audits & uploading documentation to relevant platforms
  • Work with process owners to develop & implement internal corrective action plans & monitoring procedures for high-risk processes
  • Investigate case inquiries submitted to Clinical Strategy & Optimization team by Compliance
  • Use internal tools & technical processes to complete database queries & dashboard creation
  • Manage suite of operational & regulatory reporting dashboards for all lines of business
  • Understand relevant policies & workflows
  • Manage relationships with your partners, regulatory authorities & vendors as a representative of Oscar.


  • 3+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Advanced Excel skills (can perform complex functions)
  • Proficient in SQL

Bonus points

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years commensurate experience
  • Insurance/Health Care experience
  • Experience supporting process improvement, designing operational controls, workflow building & project management
  • Experience with regulatory reporting
