Our roster has an opening with your name on it 

FanDuel is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This person will possess excellent communication & high attention to detail. This person will serve as a leader & communicator between the finance team & other internal / external stakeholders. The position will report into our Finance Manager. 


Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Prepare, post & reconcile period end closing journal entries for P&L  & balance sheet accounts
  • Advanced experience in building schedules, processes, reconciliations & flux analysis
  • Oversee the cost of sales of Sportsbook & Casino Cost of Sales
  • Responsible for the accounting & reporting of retail locations
  • Help lead the implementation of best practices to simplify, standardize & scale our business
  • Document accounting process & internal control
  • Work effectively cross-functionally in order to prepare closing entries & to anticipate changes to processes
  • Mentor, teach & review the work of other supporting members of the accounting team
  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, & annual closing activities; P&L & balance sheet analysis for various general ledger accounts
  • Coordinate & assist with requests from internal & external auditors
  • Guides other departments by researching & interpreting accounting policy; applying observations & recommendations to operational issues
  • Identify process improvement opportunities for processes & reporting

What we're looking for in our next teammate  

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Big 4 experience highly preferred
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in performing all essential duties & strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a variety of individuals in a constructive & collaborative manner
  • Exceptional organizational & communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information to various levels of an organization
  • High level of energy & the desire to work in a fast-changing working environment
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced & constantly changing environment while managing to tight deadlines
  • Strong Excel skills, & be comfortable with large data volume
  • Apply US GAAP to research & solve complex transactions
