Manager, Solutions Engineering - Digital Team will report to the Senior Manager of Solutions Engineering] & will hire & allocate resources, perform employee reviews & evaluations, participate in strategic deals, drive relationships with Sales, Product & Marketing Leadership & support team members as needed to grow North American Digital business.
About The Job:
- Build, manage & coach a team of product & industry experts, that will foremost serve as trusted advisors throughout the Optimizely sales process, with an emphasis on customer retention. Helping prospects & customers understand how Optimizely can & will help their specific business(s) to deliver the best customer experiences across all touch points.
Hire strong Solutions Engineers & help develop them into Senior Solutions Engineers capable of earning the trust of senior executives through a complex & highly technical sales process.
Find ways to continually maximize efficiencies in the technical sales process & support sales efficiency across sales teams & segments.
Stay on top of industry news, technology products, platforms, & partners to ensure you & your team provide a deep industry & ecosystem expertise.
Support the Solution Engineering & Sales teams by providing guidance on sales strategies, approaches to solve specific problems, as well as represent their team's needs to regional GTM & Product leaders.
Communicate & strategize with Sales Leadership on how best to address the region to drive customer success & closed deals.
Understand & communicate solution messaging at both a technical & business level.
Allocate SE resources across the Digital team to maximize impact.
Act as a sounding board for their team, being someone who SEs feel comfortable bringing challenges to & working through a solution.
Set a culture within your team that makes your SEs excited to come to work each day because they feel supported, that they are growing professionally & enjoy each other's success.
Prior SE experience is required with a strong history of developing scalable processes & exhibiting leadership within an SE Team & the greater Sales Organization.
Proven pre-sales record of success & achievement for themselves & their team.
Proficient with analytics, EXO and/or complex marketing technologies (or other Enterprise business applications) & be able to present to a business or technical audience.
Minimum 5+ years of sales, marketing, operations, and/or consulting experience.
Strong & creative problem-solving & analytical skills.
In-depth knowledge of the marketing tech and/or analytics industries.
