THE POSITION:

We are looking for a Director of Analytics to lead a team of analysts & data scientists.  You will work with group-wide marketing & commercial teams to improve business performance through the lens how the FanDuel Brand impacts core company goals through actionable insight, models & solutions.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Lead a team of analysts & data scientists to solve problems through the creation of analysis, models, & automations that quantify how the perception of the FanDuel brand, & child brands, effect both new user & existing user growth for FanDuel Group
  • Work with stakeholders & resources across the Group to develop & roll-out solutions, identifying & closing technical & process gaps as necessary
  • Develop & maintain a vision of how FanDuel Group should value & evolve our position in the market to ensure we continually improve its impact on business performance
  • Take ownership for ensuring benefits of insights are communicated, realized, quantified, & iterated on so the team can have impact on the business
  • Ensure projects & resources are aligned with company & business unit strategy
  • Provide line management, coaching & professional development to managers, analysts, & data scientists in your team
  • Contribute to FanDuel Groups analytics & data strategy - ensuring they reflect priorities for your team & stakeholders
  • Review & vet new technology tools & techniques for viability within the organization
  • Implement processes to embed analysis best practices, historic data knowledge archiving, & general knowledge sharing
  • Review analytical languages for correctness & provide feedback to those on your team
  • Identify & grow top talent within the analytics community

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in an analytical, technical or commercial field preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data and/or business analysis
  • Minimum of 3 years managing & coaching analysts, data scientists and/or data engineers
  • Demonstrated past history of creating & maintain both long term & short term roadmap plans that are based in contribution to company goals
  • Ability to hold teams to account for delivery of project roadmaps, proactively problem solving where necessary to hit deadlines
  • Proficiency in SQL & Excel required
  • Ability to use languages for analysis; Python, R, Spark preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using data visualization software to convey analysis in an easy to digest format, Tableau preferred
  • Finger on the pulse of current & emerging technologies & techniques - prioritizing effort in exploring potential value
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills - demonstrable track record of influencing up, down & across organizations
  • Experience leading teams & working with colleagues in other countries & time zones
  • Interest in Fantasy Sports, iGaming, and/or Sports Gaming preferred
