Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Market Development Executive II to join our Sales team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform & a focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselvesone that behaves like a doctor in the family.

About the role

As an Oscar Market Development Executive, you will drive membership growth through our broker & agency partnerships. You will oversee the broker strategy, ensuring insurance agents across our service area have the information & tools to sell Oscar's unique & creative health insurance products.

You will cover a broad range of responsibilities including developing business relationships, representing Oscar at trade shows & community events, & providing market intelligence & feedback to help us grow & win more membership.

You will report to the Senior Director of Growth (Central). This is a hybrid role, & you will work part of the time in the Dallas, TX office & part of the time working remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Guide & help develop the local go-to-market & growth strategy in the assigned territory
  • Build broker, agency, & navigator relationships in an assigned geographic area
  • Produce, assign & manage sales events with community organizations & provider partners
  • Host certification trainings for individual agents, agencies & General Agency partners
  • Travel, mostly within an assigned territory
  • Identify & test new growth opportunities, sharing insights with broader sales team
  • Manage go-to-market strategies (acquisition & retention)
  • Meet or exceed sales goals while providing great service to our distribution partners
  • Be the voice of brokers & consumers within Oscar: collect & distill local market / competitor intelligence for both existing & expansion markets
  • Provide Sales perspective & insights for ongoing product/plans/benefits builds & prioritization (e.g. Plan Design, Pricing, Network, Pricing, & Eligibility)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development
  • Active Health Insurance Agent License required by start date

Bonus points

  • Bilingual preferably Spanish
  • Experience in health insurance sales a plus especially Medicare Advantage & Individual & Family Plans
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G Suite, Slack, & Salesforce
