Principal Content Manager

Sumo Logic empowers the people who power modern business with reliable & secure cloud-native apps via its SaaS analytics platform. We are looking for a creative & savvy content strategist & producer to define, execute & analyze best-in-class content that addresses the needs of our technical practitioners & economic buyers. Through a deep understanding of target audiences, you will define content that drives awareness & engagement with our solutions-based buyers journeys & strategic initiatives. You will work closely with product teams & others within & outside the organization to source, seed, & develop a variety of standout content that underscores Sumo Logics unique value. 

The ideal candidate is a versatile content maven. You balance engaging content creation informed by SEO & market acumen. You leverage strategic planning & thorough analysis to produce a steady stream of innovative & meaningful work to engage & impact our DevOps & security audiences. We cant wait to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to develop best-in-class content for website, blog & campaigns targeted at technical practitioners & economic buyers.
• Support the ongoing development & promotion of Sumo Logics content calendar.
• Understand critical buyers journeys & drive content roadmap to remediate gaps.
• Track & report on content performance; test & fine-tune to produce impact. 
• Work with teams to manage content inventory; review & refresh on an ongoing basis. 
• Serve as a content evangelist; share best practices, plans & results. 
• Write, edit & proofread content, providing creative & editorial support to team.
• Stay abreast of industry trends to ideate themes, assess media options, & drive the most engaging buyer journeys. 
• Assess & manage content vendors, contractors, & tools to optimize performance.

Requirements

• Outstanding written & verbal communicator & collaborator. Effective copywriter. 
• Proven experience in content development & SEO for organic growth & conversion.
• Creative bent with an analytical mindset; unafraid to champion new concepts.
• Strong organizational & leadership skills. You are a born connector & collaborator.
• Highly customer & audience-focused. Developer experience is a big plus!
• Experience in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush as well as CMS,  Highspot & PathFactory for content management.
