As SEO Lead, you will manage an expert team of holistic-minded search marketers. Youll use search insights to craft data-driven digital strategies that demonstrate a deep understanding of our clients overall businesses. You will identify & lead opportunities to drive performance through content strategy, user experience, & a strong technical foundation. You will own the scoping, pitching, definition & execution of our SEO strategies, including performance tracking, reporting, & continuous improvement. You know how to unlock the stories found in data that can drive opportunities in a competitive & fast-paced environment, & you have a passion for optimizing exceptional site experiences.


You Will

  • Own the scoping, definition, execution, & optimization of holistic search marketing strategies
  • Manage & develop a high-performing team of SEO specialists
  • Pitch & implement new SEO projects & service offerings
  • Represent the Search practice within the agency, serving as a strategic SEO thought leader, entrepreneur, & advocate 
  • Use search data (in conjunction with other research sources) to understand user intent, drive content strategy, & identify business opportunities for clients
  • Align paid & organic search strategies to reduce costs while maximizing key business activities
  • Conduct regular SEO audits & competitive analyses
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to incorporate SEO strategies & best practices
  • Effectively convey SEO concepts & strategies to both clients & colleagues in a concise, meaningful, & easy-to-understand manner
  • Develop frameworks & reports to systematically track & improve search performance
  • Advise on technical website development to manage migrations while maximizing search visibility: for example, redirects, error pages, use of JavaScript/AJAX, etc.
  • Define search-driven guidelines & requirements for page content, copy, page speed, accessibility, indexability, structured markup, site architecture, URL structure, page titles, meta descriptions, headings, anchor text, internal linking, site maps, etc.
  • Define success metrics & translate SEO results to business objectives
  • Merchandise success stories & sell the benefits of new search projects
  • Keep current with the latest digital trends to identify potential applications for clients like speed, voice search, AI, machine learning automation, omnichannel search optimization, & more
  • Monitor, evaluate, & report on search results & performance to both internal & external stakeholders

You Have

  • 7-10 years of search experience, ideally with multiple websites 
  • Experience managing & growing a team of search specialists
  • Strong presentation skills with an emphasis on crafting compelling visual stories in slide format
  • Demonstrated achievements in systematically improving search rankings that translated into traffic growth & improved site conversion
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO & the web development process
  • Experience managing large-scale website migrations & redesigns
  • Experience managing international SEO strategy across multiple countries & languages
  • Strong analytical skills, & experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.
  • Systematic approach to identifying content & UX opportunities & issues, defining solutions, & executing action plans
  • Strong content strategy skills, ideally with experience in data-driven content creation
  • Experience driving both paid & organic search strategies & the integration of both
  • Passion for staying current in a rapidly evolving digital environment, leveraging new tools & techniques to gain a competitive edge
  • Site speed measurement & improvement experience
  • Excellent business acumen, results-orientation & communication skills
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript & relevant frameworks such as React, & Angular
  • Experience managing paid search, PPC, or SEM campaigns ideal, but not required
  • Local SEO/Google My Business management experience ideal, but not required
  • Automotive experience ideal, but not required
