Who?

Twilio is looking for a passionate & experienced Solutions Architect Manager to lead our EMEA Solutions Architects team. 

The role will support & expand our team of seasoned SAs servicing Twilios largest customers & enabling Twilios consulting partners. This leader thinks creatively about how to make the team more efficient as we scale & continue to deliver exceptional business outcomes & CSAT.

This leader has the experience & skill to act as both a Solutions Architect & an escalation point for other Solutions Architects, as well as acting as a coach, mentor, & coordinator for their team. 

Most importantly, the Delivery Manager ensures our consultants are happy & engaged as they drive innovation for our customers in every industry. 

What?

This leader lives the Twilio Magic & has a demonstrated track record of leading teams. They also have:

  • 10+ years of experience in professional services, ideally within a software company
  • Proven ability to get to the heart of customer needs quickly, & to earn/restore trust rapidly 
  • Experience building a happy, cohesive team spirit.
  • Experience building custom applications/packages for solution lead sales.
  • Ability to work with sales & partner teams & oversee large implementations.
  • Effective communication about business value & ROI. Builds customers confidence in the delivery team during the services sales process. Has helped close 7 figure services deals. 
  • Ability to travel up to 25% or possibly more at peak times.

The Solutions Architect Manager will:

  • Act as primary SA on their own customer engagements, with a utilisation target of 25%
  • Act as an escalation point for their team members engagements
  • Provide overall leadership to a to their regional team
  • Coach & develop team members by accurately assessing their strengths & development needs, giving timely & specific feedback, as well as partnering with the Global SA Lead & EMEA PS leadership to optimise performance
  • Ensure that their regional SA team is delivering, growing, & sustainable as a career option. 
  • Drive a culture of continuous learning & improvement by establishing & maintaining a high-performing team where new ideas & solutions are encouraged, evaluated, quantified, & implemented
  • Work with the Global SA Lead EMEA PS leadership to design & implement team structures & goals

Further responsibilities will include:

  • Performing weekly check-ins with team members to:
    • Act as a sounding board to talk through ideas
    • Review deliverables & provide feedback
    • Develop & track career goals, & surface those goals to the SA leadership team to ensure alignment
    • Set & measure individual BPM contributions
  • Participating in staffing decisions for projects in their region.
  • Conducting phone screens for new candidates
  • Providing input on Performance Reviews
  • Tracking & recognising team members contributions
