Position Overview:

The Senior Project Manager (Engagement Leader) (SPM) is the key leadership position on all Silverline project teams. The SPM is tasked with client, program, & overall project success. In this essential role, the SPM will develop & manage project lifecycles & delivery, including scope, budget, timeline, resources, deliverables, issues, & escalations.

General responsibilities are extensive & will require experience managing enterprise Salesforce & Vlocity transformation projects.

Primary responsibilities to the Client include:

  • Ensure client's overall success/value realization with project deliverables; optimize plans & resources to deliver maximum value to clients
  • Understand client expectations & objectives; communicate how objectives are being met & manage expectations through weekly updates
  • Facilitate onsite & remote meetings including weekly status, business, & technical process definition, user story & requirement definition, roadmapping & planning sessions, & other meetings as required
  • Ensure reliable communication & escalation governance to ensure timely dissemination of information to all stakeholders
  • Actively manage project financials, resources, activities, timeline, & risk; communicate status, updates, & any necessary mitigation to client, including any potential or actual changes to the project scope, project schedule, & project costs

Primary responsibilities to the Internal Project Team include:

  • Lead project teams in development & execution of project plans, including management of scope, schedule, budget, & quality
  • Collaborate with project, leadership, & sales teams to bring thought leadership & the full force of Silverline to client projects
  • Facilitate communication between client & project team; ensures the team is collaborating effectively & efficiently
  • Ensure clear bidirectional communication of action items, due dates, risks, & issues with team
  • Delegate work tasks across the team & maintain accountability for successful delivery
  • Create & manage detailed project schedule as part of the project plan; keep team informed of project plan & manage work to milestone dates
  • Partner with project team leads to support execution of sprints
  • Support & collaborate with all team members to remove roadblocks, ensuring effective teaming
  • Leverage Silverline Intellectual Property & accelerators to drive customer value (where appropriate)
  • Help identify risks & mitigation strategies
  • Manage timely delivery of all project assets with team members
  • Coach, mentor, & develop junior resources

Primary responsibilities to Silverline Management include:

  • Gain trust of Clients Project/Product Owner & key business stakeholders to help drive projects forward
  • Develop & nurture trusted adviser relationships with clients at both the project & program levels & act as point person for day-to-day client communication
  • Create weekly internal status report to ensure proper communication of project health (project budget, timeline, scope, & risks); assist with account planning/management & other pre-sales activities in new & existing customer opportunities
  • Provide availability for Account Executives, as well as Delivery Directors (on a weekly basis), to discuss client health & upsell opportunities
  • Provide timely escalation of critical issues (tactical & strategic interests)
  • Ensure project planners & resource forecasts are kept up to date
  • Own/delegate creation & management of critical project assets

Role Requirements

  • 12+ years of professional experience, including 7+ years consulting experience (preferably with Salesforce.com) & 5+ years of Enterprise Project Management experience
  • Exceptional leadership & communication skills; ability to manage change & complexity; solution oriented with primary focus on client & Silverline success
  • Salesforce.com certified (Administrator, Sales Cloud, or Service Cloud preferred)
  • Familiarity with Vlocity Platform and/or in-depth knowledge of the Insurance industry products, processes, & Salesforce.com
  • Ability to acquire a Vlocity Platform Foundations certification as required
  • In-depth understanding of Agile Best Practices & demonstrable experience leading multiple workstreams; Scrum Master Certification preferred
  • Familiarity with PMI processes & procedures (PMP preferred)
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience; MBA is a plus
