What Youll Do:

Perform software engineering duties in a fast-moving, data-driven environment to improve search experience & performance for millions of users across millions of cars globally. Duties include: design & implement application sub-system; engage in the full development life cycle through designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, & improving software; develop a digital advertising platform for dealers; modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance; work in cross-functional teams with engineers from various teams, data analysts, & product managers; collaborate with product managers & stakeholders to gather product requirements; collaborate with engineers from various teams to conduct code reviews & deploy working code to production; collaborate with data analysts to conduct reporting & to monitor the results of project; recommend improvements for low-level designs; mentor new members in the team; participate in code reviews for validating requirements & low-level designs; collaborate with Analytics team to review Looker Dashboard development; develop team-specific dashboards & make them available for the stakeholders; work on various full-stack tasks that require front-end as well as back-end development tools, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, & FreeMarker; develop test suits whenever making changes in the existing features; participate in pair programming; pair with another engineer to develop & implement innovative solutions to application sub-system errors; & ensure code is accurate & communicates with every part of the system. 

Who You Are: 

Requirements: Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering, or a related field & one year of experience in each of the following: system designing & development, including overall system design architecture, front-end technologies, back-end technologies, API development, full stack design & development, & testing, such as unit tests & integration tests; & Java, MySQL, SQL, UI design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Spring, FreeMarker, Rest API, Redis, Docker, ElasticSearch, Data Warehousing, Snowflake, Looker, & Docker.
