||What is Balanced?
Balanced is a community of people who care about mindfulness, self care, and doing interesting work. We aim to be your home away from home in this big city.
Headquartered out of a large, cozy loft in SOHO in NYC, we come together to hang out, meditate, tell stories, and meet like-minded people. Here are some of the ways we bring our community together:
Dinners: Intimate, invite-only dinners with startup founders, artists, musicians, and academics.
Meditation: Community meditation and yoga events led by teachers from places like the Brooklyn Zen Center.
Storytelling: Story-telling events & lecture series around topics such as relationships, mortality, business and more.
Retreats: Sailing trips in the Caribbean, retreats in upstate NY and other excursions to reconnect with nature and find time for reflection.
We're building Balanced around 3 core beliefs:
• Community: People thrive in close-knit, supportive communities, especially when attempting ambitious projects.
• Self-care: Caring for our whole selves goes beyond just doing well in our projects and companies.
• Mindfulness: We're happier and make better decisions when we connect with ourselves through mindfulness and self-reflection.
