Come join a networking event brought to you by the Circle of Young Intrapreneurs & WeWork in the vibrant Soho neighborhood of New York City. During this event we aim to ignite new connections & ideas & grow a network of professionals that want business to do well & do good.
Entrepreneurs are individuals who use ideas to start up new companies. Intrapreneurs are individuals who take start-up ideas & apply them within existing companies. But all of us -- whether we are inside or outside big corporations -- believe businesses are untapped resources to create world-changing impact. This event will bring together entrepreneurs & intrapreneurs to share ideas & inspire action.
In the spirit of sparking new ideas, we will include a lightening round pitch session, where local New York social innovators will pitch their ideas in a rapid-fire style. For the Circles growing network of intrapreneurs, the event will offer the chance to strengthen pitching & presentation skills.
Why connect entrepreneurs & intrapreneurs?
As intrapreneurs in big corporations, we are no stranger to red tape, or to the at-times slow pace of our companies in testing new models or engaging new market opportunities. Entrepreneurs, on the other hand, often have more freedom in testing new ideas, & many are quite familiar with the concept of pitching ideas to potential consumers or funders -- though they may not have the reach, visibility, & established infrastructure of big business. We hope to take this opportunity to learn from each other, in a productive, collaborative session that will help you develop your own idea -- or simply hear about what others are working on.
Have an idea? Apply to present to the crowd during a lightning round session.
Anyone is welcome to attend -- from the seasoned intrapreneur or entrepreneur to the curious professional who just wants to learn more. We will also offer a limited number of slots in a lightening presentation session. If you would like to pitch an idea, please send a message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
About the event host:
WeWork is a global network of workspaces where companies grow together. They transform buildings into dynamic environments for creativity, focus, & collaboration. More than just the best place to work, though, this is a movement toward a new way of living. WeWork believes that CEOs can help each other, offices can use the comforts of home, & we can all look forward to Monday if we find real meaning in what we do. This event will be held in the WeWork Soho West space.
